Gum loss can be as devastating as tooth loss however there are prostheses solutions available. Options such as artificial removable gum made of acrylic or as in the example below an implant telescope crown and gum mask.
There are numerous options available for replacing a missing tooth. A plastic or metal partial, a Maryland bridge or a dental implant crown.
SINGLE TOOTH REPLACEMENT
This is one on our Niho patients. He had a crown made with a different dentist and dental laboratory a few years ago and had never been happy with it. It was the wrong colour, unacceptable shape and stood out from the other teeth in his mouth. He mentioned he wanted the new crown to blend in with his smile, the shape to be natural as well the shade but wanted some the staining to be reduced.

We did a detailed shade match of the patients toot. This is a process used to find the colour of the tooth, click here for more details. We made a new crown for the patient and as you can see there is a great improvement in both shade and shape of our crown and the patient was very happy.
IMPLANT RETAINED DENTURE

This patient had problems with her denture staying in place while eating.

She decided to undergo surgery and had dental implants placed to help retain the denture. We worked with an Oral Surgeon, a Dentist and the patient to make a strong, aesthetic and stable denture.
With her new implant retained denture the patient can now eat all the foods she loved as well as having confidence that the denture will stay in place throughout the day and night.
AESTHETIC VENEERS

This patient was unhappy with her small teeth and the gaps between her teeth.

After assessing her case we decided we could make six veneers to close the gaps and increase the size of her teeth. Usually with veneers a small portion of the tooth's enamel is removed and replaced with a ceramic veneer. In this case no enamel was removed and the veneers were placed directly on to her natural teeth.

Before making her final veneers we made a "try in" or prototype which was placed on her teeth so she could see her final smile before making her final restorations. There were no changes needed to the "try in" so we went straight to a finish with her permanent veneers.
Any changes can easily be made at this stage and a second "try in" may be needed if there is significant changes.
This is the day the veneers were placed and the patient was very happy.

GUM LOSS

This patient lost one of her teeth and suffered a significant amount of bone and tissue loss in this area. She had been wearing a partial denture for some time but wanted something more comfortable, more aesthetic and something to minimise any further bone and tissue loss.

She wanted an implant but did not want to go through multiple surgical procedures of soft or hard grafting. As we needed to hide the gum loss and allow easy cleaning of the area we made a removable telescope implant crown and gingival mask.
This is a very unique case and has given the patient back her smile.
Another very happy customers.
CUSTOM DENTURE

This is one of our Niho patients. He had been wearing dentures for some time but had always felt the dentures looked 'fake' and wanted his new set to reflect the character he had before losing his teeth. After looking at photos of him in his youth we made a new set of dentures that function well and replicate the smile he used to have.
The denture has three different shades of teeth, with individual characterisation and three different gum colours to make the dentures look like natural teeth. As he had gaps between his teeth in his youth we reproduced this in his denture.

The patient was blown away and I think you can see that in his huge smile.

MISSING TOOTH

This patient had damaged her tooth in an accident. First the tooth was crowned but due to the trauma the tooth died and unfortunately was lost.

The patient decided to have a dental implant placed.
After 4 months the implant had successfully integrated with the patients' jaw and it was time to make the final implant crown
after seeing his dentist he came to us for a colour match.
We did a detailed shade match of the patients toot. This is a process used to find the colour of the tooth, click here for more details. We made a new crown for the patient and as you can see there is a great improvement in both shade and shape of our crown and the patient was very happy.
The implant crown looks natural and is a permanent replacement of her missing tooth.
